No Funeral Just Cremation

Rising Popularity of Direct Cremation

There are many different ways in which people choose to commemorate a death. It is a highly personal decision that may be affected by many things, including culture, religion or upbringing.

For some, an extravagant and expensive funeral complete with a horse-drawn hearse is a must-have. Others opt for a less ostentatious and more personalised affair. In death as in life, everyone is different.

Just cremation

Just having a cremation is also known as a direct cremation. It is an inexpensive option for those who do not want an attended funeral service. The cremation takes place in private, without mourners in attendance.

By having no funeral, just a cremation, it allows friends and family of the deceased to plan their own unique memorial at a convenient time for them.

Direct Cremation

At, we guarantee you the cheapest direct cremation service in England and Wales. We understand how devastating a death can be and appreciate that you would like the cremation process to be as easy and as stress-free as possible. Therefore, for as little as £895, we take care of everything on your behalf.

What does provide?

Our expert team will liaise with doctors or the coroner to sort out any paperwork for you. We will also collect your loved one from any hospital or mortuary in England or Wales and transport them to our crematorium.

For the cremation itself, we provide a simple but environmentally-friendly coffin, designed and made by British craftsmen. The cremation is always both individual and private. We will inform you of the date and exact time in advance, in case you would like to commemorate it at home.

The £895 minimum fee also includes the option to have your loved ones’ ashes scattered in our serene peaceful Garden of Remembrance.

Scattering the ashes yourself

If you would like to receive the ashes, we can deliver them to your door in a sustainably-sourced wooden urn with an engraved nameplate. This service costs an additional £91. It gives you the option to incorporate scattering the ashes into your own memorial or celebration of the person’s life.

Many people use the scattering of ashes as the focal point of a memorial service for someone who receives a direct cremation. The event can be tailored to the person’s wishes. It can be either secular or religious, and held at a location of significance for the deceased.

There is no set formula for scattering someone’s ashes. Some people prefer to do so in a natural setting, for instance at a favourite walking spot. Others may opt for a more explosive send off, scattering the ashes in fireworks or even launching them into space.
