What is included with DirectCremation.co.uk?
For the minimum cost of £895, we will collect your late friend or relative from any hospital or mortuary in England or Wales and bring them to our crematorium. We will also provide a simple and environmentally-friendly coffin, carefully designed by British craftsmen.
Our experienced team will conduct the individual and private cremation. They will let you know the date and time in advance, in case you would like to commemorate it yourself.
The ashes can be scattered in our Garden of Remembrance, free of charge. Or, you can have them delivered to you in a wooden urn for an extra £91. This enables you to scatter them in your own special way – read on for some suggestions on this.

Additional services
We also have a number of additional low cost services that you can choose from. For example, we can hand-deliver the ashes to you in a sustainably-sourced and British-made wooden urn, complete with an engraved nameplate of your loved one. This option is available for £91.
Likewise, our team can remove pacemakers and other battery-powered implanted medical devices. These devices must be removed before a cremation can go ahead. This service incurs a further fee of £100 to cover the cost for a qualified professional to certify the item’s removal.
Post-cremation options
After we have taken care of the cremation and you have received your ashes, you have a number of options available. Included in our low-cost cremation, you can scatter your loved ones’ ashes in our Garden of Remembrance. Alternatively, you may find that scattering them abroad may be a more appropriate resting place. There are certain requirements for travelling with ashes and you can read about them here.
